In this patent, we propose using a robotic manipulator to replace the specific motion simulation devices. It is anticipated that the versatility of robots will enable them to readily replicate the varying body motions during various sports activities in a repeatable and consistent manner. With a suitably designed soft breast manikin (torso) attached to the robotic manipulator, the complexities of 3D torso and breast motion, including more representative cohorts of women performing a variety of body movements and sporting activities, can be accurately and readily replicated. Incorporated with a motion tracking system and custom-designed body landmarks, the 3D breast displacement and specific support under different bra conditions, planes of motion, and high impact forces such as yoga, jumping, etc. can be precisely identified.
