A novel bespoke hypertrophic scar treatment: actualizing hybrid pressure and silicone therapies with 3d printing and scanning
2021
The treatment of hypertrophic scars (HSs) is considered to be the most challenging task in wound rehabilitation. Conventional silicone sheet therapy has a positive effect on the healing process of HSs. However, the dimensions of the silicone sheet are typically larger than those of the HS itself which may negatively impact the healthy skin that surrounds the HS.
(3-Mercaptopropyl)triethoxysilane-Modified Reduced Graphene Oxide-Modified Polyurethane Yarn Enhanced by Epoxy/Thiol Reactions for Strain Sensors
2021
In the current work, a method was proposed to fabricate strain-sensing yarns via epoxy/thiol reactions by a dip-coating method. Reduced graphene oxide (rGO) was modified with (3-mercaptopropyl)triethoxysilane, and polyurethane yarn was cross-linked with 3-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane.
Construction of porous polymer films on rGO coated cotton fabric for self‐powered pressure sensors in human motion monitoring
2021
Pressure sensors were fabricated based on porous polymer films coated onto cotton fabric modified with reduced graphene oxide (rGO). The cotton fabric was modified with a silane coupling agent to improve the adhesion between the cotton fabric and rGO.
An understanding of bra design features to improve bra fit and design for older Chinese women
2021
The aim is to analyze the bra design features and fit problems of older women and to design solutions to improve bra fit and design for older women. Twenty-six participants aged 62 ± 4 years participated in bra fitting experiments with eight commercial senior bras featuring different design features.
The Immediate Effects of Hallux Valgus Orthoses: A Comparison of Orthosis Designs
2021
Hallux valgus orthoses are available in a wide range of designs and materials, but the effects of their design on functional performance have not been fully investigated.
Hallux valgus orthosis characteristics and effectiveness: a systematic review with meta-analysis
2021
The treatment effect of orthoses for hallux valgus (HV) is unclear with little interventional studies, the design involves multiple complex factors, and therefore a systematic analysis with meta-analysis is necessary. The objective of this systematic review and meta-analysis is to determine whether current foot orthoses are effective in treating HV.
